  • We specialize in small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations, primarily churches, ministries, and faith-based nonprofits. However, we also serve community nonprofits with similar accounting and compliance needs.

  • No. Although we are based in Florida, we work virtually and can serve nonprofit organizations in all 50 U.S. states.

  • Yes. We have clients who come to us without prior bookkeeping systems. We can set up your accounts, organize past records, and establish a reliable financial process going forward.

  • Churches are tax-exempt, but they still have to follow IRS guidelines for payroll, annual reporting, and recordkeeping. We will ensure your organization remains compliant.

  • Yes. We prepare and file the appropriate version of Form 990 (N, EZ, or full) and assist with state filings as required.

  • Yes. Clergy payroll is unique, and we provide assistance with clergy tax rules, Self-Employment Contributions Act (SECA), and housing allowance designations.

  • We use secure, cloud-based accounting and payroll software that allows you to upload documents, track reports, and access your financial data anytime, anywhere.

  • You’ll receive monthly financial statements, with quarterly and annual summaries as needed. Customized board-ready reports are also available.

  • We work primarily with QuickBooks Online and other nonprofit-friendly platforms, but we can adapt to your existing system if needed.

  • Each client’s needs are different. We offer tiered monthly service plans starting at $175/month, depending on the size of your organization and level of service needed.

  • No. However, we do require a minimum 3-month contract, as opposed to a month-to-month agreement with the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade as your needs change.

  • Basic filings are included in certain plans. For more complex returns, we provide clear, upfront pricing so there are no surprises.

  • Yes. Every client will have a Steadwell Financial Services team member who learns your organization’s unique needs and provides consistent support.

  • Yes. We can provide workshops, training, and one-on-one guidance to help staff and leadership understand financial reports and responsibilities.
